Eagle Claims Management, founded in 1994, is a Michigan-based Third Party Administrator (TPA) of workers’ compensation claims. We are licensed to administer self-funded claims in Michigan and Indiana, and we are approved to work for major excess carriers licensed in Michigan.

Eagle Claims retained an independent audit firm to review our financial systems and processes. Following that review, ECM has completed the SSAE 16,Type II- SOC 1 audit. This confirms that we have all necessary controls in place to manage our clients’ money.

Robert Cole

Partner & Founder

After working at a local Grand Rapids TPA who was acquired by a national TPA, Rob did not feel that the national TPA provided the level of service he expected for his clients, so he started Eagle in 1994. Rob has built Eagle to be the 3rd largest TPA in the state of Michigan as measured by Individual self- insured clients. Rob is a graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

David Johnson, CPCU, CIC

President

David has an extensive background in the Insurance and self- insurance with over 25 years of experience.  He has held senior level positions with CMI, Citizens and Michigan Insurance Company. David is a graduate of Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

David Howard

Vice President – Claims

David is the VP of claims and also runs the administration unit at Eagle Claims. David co –founded Eagle claims with Rob Cole in 1994. David has over 30 years of workers’ compensation claims management experience. David has bachelor and master’s degrees from the University of Oxford in England.
